Barbara Cunningham Ruocchio. age 86, of Powder Springs, GA passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026. Barbara was born in Hiawassee, GA on July 5th, 1939, to the late James and Mollie Cunningham. Before her retirement she worked for 15 years at McEachern High School in the cafeteria, which she greatly enjoyed. She was the heart of her family—a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a faithful friend. Her unconditional love, gentle spirit, and unwavering strength touched the lives of all who knew her. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, always placing the needs of others before her own and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Her greatest joy was being called Mom-Mom and loving on her great grandbabies. She will be so deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Ruocchio, her daughter Barbara Ann Williams, her grandson Ricky Dale Childers, her brothers Frank, David, and Lowell Cunningham. Her sisters Vera, Geraldine, and Betty-Jo Cunningham. She is survived by her children, Teresa (Greg) Williams of Villa Rica, GA, Cathy (Norman) Ruocchio of Whitesburg, GA, Tony Ruocchio of Powder Springs, GA, and Michael Ruocchio of Powder Springs, GA. 13 grandchildren & 24 great grandchildren. Her sister Carolyn Cunningham and much more family who will forever cherish her memory.
