Charles Paul Brown, age 71, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at his home in Austell, Georgia.  There will be a memorial service from 1-4, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Greener Pastures Funeral Home, 4405 Marietta Street, Powder Springs, Georgia 30127. A Repast will follow in the Greener Pastures Banquet Hall.

Charles was born May 19, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa to Roy Brown Sr. and Pauline Marinda Brown. He proudly served in the United States Army and was employed as a service technician with Polaroid until retirement.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Roy Brown, Jr. and his first wife, Jeannine Beverly Jones Brown.  He is survived by his wife of 27 years Bertha Brown-Powder Springs, GA; his children Paul (Heather) Brown-Seattle, WA, Tracey Lee-Atlanta, GA, Charissa (Joe) Gransden-Decatur, GA; Adrian (Tonya) Shells-Riverdale, GA and Shalonda Johnson-Powder Springs, GA; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; his siblings Betty Quinn-Des Moines, IA, Barbara (George) McKay-Des Moines, IA, Janis Brown-Denver, CO, Janet Carter-Los Angeles, CA, Delores Miller-Des Moines, IA, Marlene Ackiss-Denver, CO, Sandra Moore-Denver, CO, Jennie Fowler-Mesa, AZ, Paula Brown-Des Moines, IA, Terri (Michael) Hutchison-Des Moines, IA, Anthony (Pat) Brown-Des Moines, IA, Paul (Kim) Brown-Cincinnati, OH and Jesse (Karlinda) Brown-Racine, WI; his lifetime best friend and cousin, Herman (Belinda) Graham, Jr.-Lithia Springs, GA; and countless nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

The family will welcome guests for the Memorial Service on Saturday, November 13, 2021 beginning at 1:00 PM inside the Chapel of Greener Pastures Funeral Home, 4405 Marietta St. Powder Springs, GA 30127.
