Fannie was the daughter of Jacob Carl McGhee and Emma Lou Minniefield, who preceded her in death. She was also the loving wife of Alvin Maxwell, whose life she shared with devotion until his passing. Their bond served as an inspiration to all who knew them.

A devoted mother, Fannie is survived by her daughter Charlotte Gibson and granddaughter Dionne Houston. Fannie took great pride in her family and found joy in nurturing those close to her heart. A visitation will take place on March 6, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Greener Pastures Funeral Home, located at 4405 Marietta St, Powder Springs, GA, 30127. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held on March 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the same location. Fannie will be laid to rest at Sweetwater Memorial Park in Hiram, GA, with the burial service commencing at 2:00 PM.
