Obituary

Freddie Lee Scott was born on April 13, 1942 in Smyrna, Georgia to the late Paul and Ella Scott.  Freddie passed away peacefully on January 20, 2021 after battling cancer.

Freddie graduated from Lemon Street High in Marietta, Georgia in 1960.  Freddie played on the Lemon Street football team and earned a football scholarship.  Freddie was a professional CDL truck driver and retired after 35-years of service.  Freddie loved college football, music, dancing, family gatherings, karate and old western movies.

Freddie was preceded in death by a daughter Freda Durham and four siblings, Paul Scott, Willie James Scott, Zimmie Scott and Francis K. Jones.

Freddie leaves to celebrate and cherish long-lasting memories, his wife Ella Robinson Scott, daughter Fredtricia Yvonne Scott McBride (late Joseph McBride), Austell, Georgia, two sons Freddie Lee Scott, Jr. and Joshua Scott, Mableton Georgia, a brother, Grover Scott, Austell Georgia and an uncle, Lewis Scott, Marietta, Georgia, four grandchildren Jason Scott, Okema Scott, Daylen Willis and Freddie Lee Scott, III, nine great grandchildren and a host of relatives and close friends.

The family will allow guests to come for the visitation on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Greener Pastures Funeral Home, 4405 Marietta St. Powder Springs, GA 30127

The funeral  services will take place the following day on Friday, January 29, 2021 for 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Greener Pastures Funeral Home, 4405 Marietta St. Powder Springs, GA 30127. Due to Covid-19, we ask only the immediate family is present. Please view the livestream if you are not apart of the immediate family.

The Interment will be held immediately after the funeral service on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, 2000 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.

Funeral Services will be live-streamed. The live stream can be viewed below or by clicking the link below. The camera will activate 10 minutes prior to service.
