IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Norwood Jr.
December 29, 1958 – September 13, 2025
JL Norwood Jr., of Powder Springs, Georgia was born December 29, 1958, in Morton, Mississippi, to Christine White and JL
Norwood Sr. entered eternal rest on September 13, 2025, at the age of 66. He attended school in
Morton, later earning his GED, and went on to live a life full of faith, family, and hard work. On
August 15, 1981, he married his loving wife, Jeannette Johnson at Pleasant Gift Baptist Church in
Morton, MS, and together they shared 44 years of marriage. Their union was blessed with three
children—Justin, Amber, and Robyn—whom they raised in the fear and respect of the Lord,
creating a legacy of faith that continues through their children and grandchildren.
JL was ordained into ministry at a young age and faithfully carried the teachings of God's Word
throughout his life. Gifted in countless ways, JL was known for his creativity, mechanical skills,
and ability to fix anything. For over 35 years, he dedicated his talents to the restoration and
refurbishing of antique cars and auto body work. He also had a lifelong passion for Harley
Davidson motorcycles, which he rode for decades. JL will be remembered as a man of great faith,
skill, and love. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette of Powder Springs, GA; son, Justin (Hali) of
Smyrna, GA; daughters, Amber of Powder Springs, GA and Robyn of Burleson, Texas; mother,
Christine of Morton Mississippi; four grandchildren, Leilani, Jace, Joshua, and Caleb; his
brothers; and a host of extended family and friends.
His legacy of faith, love, and craftsmanship will live on in all who knew and loved him.
