James M. Whitsett, Sr. 88, of Marietta, Georgia was born September 6, 1927 in Darby Township, Pennsylvania. The Lord summoned his son James home on April 26, 2016. Mr. Whitsett leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 71 years also of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Ruth Whitsett, 4 daughters and 1 son. The family extends fellowship for Mr. Whitsett's viewing and wake service to be held Friday, April 29, 2016 in the funeral homes chapel, 4405 Marietta Street, Powder Springs, Georgia 30127. Viewing will begin at 4:00-7:00 PM and wake service from 7:00- 8:00 PM officiated by Rev. Ralph Steed of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Powder Springs, Georgia. Mr. James M. Whitsett, Sr. will be laid to rest Friday May 6, 2016 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, New Town, Pennsylvania.
