Janet Renee Brooks was born on November 13, 1965, in McMinnville, Tennessee, to Jurrel Wood and Thomas Lee Wood Sr. She graduated from Warren County Senior High School. She married Scottie Brooks, and this November they would have celebrated 29 years of marriage. Janet worked for many years as a supervisor in the food industry, where she was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and the many accomplishments she achieved throughout her career. She consistently took pride in her work and was often recognized for her performance and commitment. She was especially known for achieving the highest EcoSure score, which reflected the high standards she brought to her work. Janet was deeply involved in her church, and her faith was an important part of her life. She loved being connected to her church family and remained devoted to serving and participating in the church. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lee Wood Sr. Those left to cherish Janet’s memory are her loving husband, Scottie Brooks; her daughter, Aniya; her two sons, Lexington Brooks and Christopher Davenport; her granddaughter, Lily Davenport; her brothers, Thomas Wood, David Wood, and Frank Martian; and her beloved dog, Dude, whom she loved dearly. She is also remembered by many other family members and loved ones who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. The family of Janet Renee Brooks would like to express their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to Wellstar, Emory, their church family, relatives, and friends. The love, prayers, kindness, care, and support shown to Janet and our family throughout this journey have meant more to us than words could ever fully express. Every call, visit, prayer, meal, encouraging word, and act of kindness helped carry us through some of our most difficult moments. We will forever be grateful to each and every person who stood beside our family and showed us so much love along the way.
