Joyce Elizabeth Benedict,78, of Acworth, Georgia was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Leonard Dolmes Burge and Lola Mae (Allen) Burge on July 7th, 1943. She married Arthur Robert Benedict on May 10th, 1962 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Joyce Elizabeth Benedict is preceded in death by: Arthur Robert Benedict (husband), and Michael Edward Benedict (son).

Joyce Elizabeth Benedict is survived by her 5 daughters: Brenda Joyce Maxell (Michael Maxwell), Pamela Jean Benedict, Barbara Sue Frady (Daniel Frady), Catherine Elizabeth Goostree, Traci Benedict Mobley; 2 sisters and 1 brother; Vivian Loner, Patricia Diane Rutz and Thomas Gary Burge; 7 Grandchildren and 6 great-Grandchildren.

The funeral home will welcome guests for a public visitation on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Greener Pastures Funeral Home, 4405 Marietta St., Powder Springs, GA 30127.

The Funeral Service will be held the following day on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, beginning at 12:00 PM inside the Chapel of the Greener Pastures Funeral Home, 4405 Marietta St., Powder Springs, GA 30127.

The Interment will be held immediately after the Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway S
Marietta, GA 30060.
