IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
Robinson
May 18, 1955 – February 3, 2025
Patricia Ann Mason-Robinson was born on May 18, 1955, in Selma, Alabama, to the late Jenkins Mason, Jr., and Mamie Lou Mason. Patricia completed her formal education at Selma High School, graduating from the class of 1973, and pursued a professional career in nursing. This career provided opportunities to reside in various states, including Detroit, Michigan; Manhattan, New York; and Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout her professional career, she was employed at several hospitals, including the VA Hospital, Harlem Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian in New York, Midtown Urology, and Grady Memorial Hospital, where she retired in September 2022.
Patricia devoted her life to Christ from an early age, joining different churches whenever she moved. She began her spiritual journey at First Baptist Church with the late Rev. James Cleveland. In New York, she became a member of Abyssinian Baptist Church under the late Rev. Dr. Calvin O. Butts. After moving to Atlanta in 2004, she fellowshipped with Cascade United Methodist Church under Rev. Walter Kimbrough and eventually joined Ebenezer Baptist Church under Rev. Dr. Raphael Gamaliel Warnock.
Patricia was a guiding light and nurturing soul to everyone she encountered. She was a dedicated humanitarian and volunteered with numerous organizations. Patricia was actively involved in local government, attending meetings, and working on campaigns. She also volunteered with the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, and other projects. Patricia donated to numerous causes, including ManyHopes.org, Action Against Hunger, and United Negro College Fund. Her dedication to helping others and her commitment to volunteerism were truly exemplary. Patricia was a beautiful, loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was loved by everyone, always helped everyone, and had a smile that could light up a room.
Patricia was a dedicated walker, a hobby she genuinely enjoyed. Her daily routine started with walking laps around the practice field with her young sons, Ajene and Ali. Over time, this activity evolved as she began participating in 5K races after her retirement. Patricia was also a passionate football enthusiast, regularly supporting Alabama Football, the Falcons, and Black quarterbacks. Additionally, she frequently attended games at Douglas County, Morehouse (her two sons' Alma Mater), and Falcons games. Patricia's love for her sons was evident in everything she did. She was their biggest cheerleader, attending every game and event with unwavering support. Her sons were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Patricia had a knack for making everyone feel special. Her home was always open to anyone in need, including friends and family. Her kindness and generosity extended beyond her family and friends; she was a giver to many and will be missed by all.
She passed from labor to reward on February 3, 2025, surrounded by family and friends and lots of love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jenkins Mason, Jr., and Mamie Lou Mason; two brothers: Roger Perkins and Jenkins Mason III; five aunts: Willie Pearl Molette, Laura McCaskey, Georgia Ann Wills, Sylvia Mason, Sarah Mason; and two uncles: Nathaniel Mason and Mark Mason.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Ajene and Ali Robinson; two brothers, Melvin Mason and Kenji (Sheila) Mason; three sisters, Sangernetta Mason, Linda (Anthony) Terry, and Deborah Ann Green; one sister in law, Meriem Mason; three nieces, Tamika Norris, Tanisha Terry, and Breyanna Mason; seven nephews, Niah Mason, Jake Mason, Jacoby Mason, Zachary Mason, Michael Anthony Green, Christopher Alexander Green, and Calvert James Green Jr.; three aunts, Sallie Shields, Lenora (Cartine) Glenn and Betty Moultrie; one uncle, Leon Mason; former husband, LeRoy Robinson; and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.
