Sammy T. Miller was born in Amarillo, Texas to Thomas Clarke Miller and Bertha Nolan on March 7, 1962. He attended Amarillo High School and graduated from Amarillo College and West Texas A&M University. He married Mary Stokes on March 3, 1995 in Norcross, Georgia. He worked at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and General Electric for many years as a bank examiner and financial risk management specialist.
He was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and an avid volunteer in the community. Sammy was a master griller, passionate NBA and NFL fan as well as a Dodger super fan. Sammy loved to read African American history and he loved traveling to all parts of the world with Dubai, London, Melbourne, and Spain being some of his favorite places.
Sammy is preceded in death by Thomas Clarke Miller (father), Bertha Nolan (mother), and Mike Miller (brother).
Sammy is survived by Mary Stokes (spouse), Taylor Miller (daughter), Larry Miller (brother), Patricia Frilot Mitchell (sister) and Tonika Moore (niece) as well as many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on March 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both taking place at Greener Pastures Funeral Home, located at 4405 Marietta St, Powder Springs, GA 30127.
