Anthea Logan Obituary

Anthea Lucy Logan, known to many as “Annie”, was born on March 1, 1963 in London, England to Mary Paul and Clement John. She spent most of her young childhood under the care of her Aunt Louisa in St. Georges, Grenada. As she grew, she returned home to London and received her Bachelor’s Degree. But in 1983, she made her move to the United States where she met the love of her life, Michael Donald Logan, in New York.

Michael and Anthea married on July 16, 1987 and began a wonderful life together. They soon started a family and had their first child, Brittni Stephanie Michelle Logan, on January 11, 1989. Soon after, they had the surprise of their lives and gave birth to twins, Michelle Anthea Zipporah Logan and Michael Andrea Kareem Logan, on April 29, 1992. With their family complete, the Logans made the decision to finally settle in Austell, GA in May 1993.

Shortly after their move, Anthea became an executive secretary serving many major local corporations and businesses including SunTrust, OptiWorld, and The Weather Channel. She excelled in her career while still balancing life at home with her family. Unfortunately, in 1994, Anthea received the difficult news of her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis. Though she wrestled through the effects of her illness, she did not let it define her. Anthea still found time to pursue her passions and live life to the full. She loved learning about the latest interior design trends and finding new and creative ways to decorate her home. She was an avid tennis fan and never missed an opportunity to watch her all-time favorite player, Roger Federer. And Anthea was a big lover of birds and plants, filling her home with a host of feathered friends and exotic greenery.

Anthea made her transition from this world on Friday, September 18, 2020. She leaves behind her loving husband, Michael; her children, Brittni, Michelle, and Michael Jr.; her grandchildren, Aaliyah Craig, Brandon Craig Jr., Aria Sewell, Deonte Sewell II, Zuri Sewell, Serenity Sewell, Lyla Logan, and Kaya Logan; her father, Clement John; her aunt, Louisa Johnson; her brother, Junior Paul; and her close cousins, Carlton Thomas, Lisa Charles, Lashley John, Anon Francis, Cousin Miriam, Cousin Roslyn and Cousin Barbara.
