Caesar McConico Jr. Obituary

A Time for Birth

Caesar McConico Jr, the third of five siblings, was born November 15, 1956, to Emma McConico Richardson and the late Caesar McConico Sr in Mobile, Alabama.

A Time for Preparation

Caesar was raised in Marietta, Georgia and began his education at Lemon Street Elementary. He later attended Park Street Elementary when the school system first integrated and graduated from Marietta High School, Class of 1974. He attended Selma University in Selma, AL for a year and Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, GA, also for a year where he pledged Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Thereafter, Caesar decided that he wanted to be a Master Plumber. He graduated as a Journeyman Plumber at the Joint Apprenticeship Training Trust through Local Union 72 Plumbers, Pipefitters & Service Technicians in Atlanta, GA. He further pursued his Master Plumbing License from the Office of Georgia Secretary of State. Although his career in plumbing spanned across many states and most of the jobs were located in Georgia, the assignment he and his beloved wife, Tammy Lynn, were most proud of took their family to Oswego, NY in 1983. There, they shared some of the best & exciting times of their lives as a young couple.

Caesar retired from Local Union 72 in 2012 with 30 years of service. However, those who knew him, knew he loved plumbing and it was not work to him. He did not fully “retire” and very
rarely turned down a job to help his loved ones, friends or perfect strangers.

A Time for Family

Caesar met the love of his life in 1978. After a few years of dating, he and Tammy married in 1981. To this union, a son Caesar Jared and daughter, Miranda Yvette, were born. A little family trivia - all four members of the family graduated from Marietta High School! Caesar lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed going to the beach (with his metal detector), fishing, and taking trips to the casino. He and Tammy always traveled with their favorite pet, Bruno.

A Time for Eternal Peace

Caesar answered God’s call on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Maurice ‘Marty’ McConico, a sister Brenda Joyce McConico and a nephew, Brian B. McConico Jr.
