Mr. Dwayne Thomas Moore,56, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
Dwayne was born August 31, 1965, in San Diego, California, to Jethroe Moore and Tommie M Moore of Birmingham, Alabama. The youngest of 5 children, he grew up in San Jose, CA and relocated to Douglasville, GA over ten years ago. He had one daughter, Janean Nicole, who he raised as a single-parent, loved very much and always encouraged her to be her best.
He received his early K-8 education in San Jose’s Evergreen School District, attending Cedar Grove Elementary School and Quimby Oak Middle School; he graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in San Jose California.
Dwayne loved being around family and friends. He was an entrepreneur and fanatical Dallas Cowboy fan. He was also an enthusiastic DJ who – as a young man - opened for the hip hop group The LA Dream Team, as well as performed in other Bay Area concert venues.
In later years, Dwayne developed a love for dogs, having three German Shepards. He liked cars – the fast sporty type – but especially his mustangs. He enjoyed and looked forward to eating his mom’s collard greens, and he personally perfected baking his favorite desert (sweet potato pies). He was affectionate with his family and made sure you knew that he loved you. He would always kiss his “Big Sis” on the cheek when they were together.
Anyone that truly knew him, knew he had such a big heart. Dwayne loved so many and was loved by so many more. His warm demeanor was infectious and his laugh, a comfort to the ear. He was charismatic and had an energy that with just one encounter, you would remember him for life. Many of the friends he grew up with are still his friends today.
He was preceded in death by his Father Jethroe Moore, and Sister Deborah Elaine Moore Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his lovely daughter Janean Nicole Moore, mother Tommie M Moore, Sister Linda Moore Holoman (Smallwood), Brothers Jethroe Moore II (Audrey) and Rodney G. Moore (Yaslyn), aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
At this time, we must come together and laugh for Dwayne’s sake. Dwayne would have wanted it that way. Dwayne was an amazing man, father, son, brother, uncle, and
friend. You are already missed.
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
