James Arthur Miller Jr. was born August, 30 1957 in Albany, Georgia to (The Late ) James Arthur Miller Sr. and (The Late) Annie Gilbert* Miller.
James was affectionately known to his close family as “Junior.” He was educated in the Dougherty county public school system in Albany, Georgia
Aside from his family, James's greatest devotion was to the military. He enlisted into the United States Army where he served 3 years and then enlisted into the US Navy where he earned the title of RM1. James impacted many lives by mentoring young enlistees at the start of their military careers by guiding and coaching them. James obtained Top secret clearance before retiring from the Navy after 17 years.
Taking the trades he learned from the military, he began his career in Telecommunications, Cyber Security, and Air traffic Control, he obtained multiple high level and managerial positions with companies like MCI, Sprint, and IBM.
James was a loving Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Cousin, and Friend. He was a warm, kind and easy going person, and would go above and beyond for his family. He enjoyed watching ANY Western series, and The Sci fi channel. He loved Rock and Roll music, and he learned to play the Guitar and Drums in his early childhood.
James was preceded in death by his Father James Arthur Miller Sr., his Mother Annie Gilbert* Miller, and A Special Aunt Annette Anthony.
This soft spoken family is survived by his Wife Debra A. Whitaker* Miller, his children (Daughter) Breonna N. Miller, (Son) James S. Miller. His Brother Franklin Miller and A Special Sister/Cousin Patricia Alexander. His Sisters In Law Carol Evans, Dorothy Phoenix, Mary Whitaker, and Lizzie Fields. His Grandchildren Adrian R. Miller* Washington (Frank), Tyler S. Miller, Angel B. Brown, Mahciah E. Miller, Dylan E. Agnant and one Great Grandchild Aubrey Brown. They will cherish his loving memory.
The memorial service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Greener Pastures Funeral Home, 4405 Marietta St. Powder Springs, GA 30127.
