Katrina “Trina” Yvette Evans entered this world on June 13, 1979, in Winona, Mississippi to a set of loving and devoted parents, Johnnie and Maggie Pearl Evans, who preceded her in death. They brought her up in the love and knowledge of God, through his son, Jesus Christ. She was an active member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church. She was a 1997 graduate of Winona High School in Winona, MS. After high school, Katrina moved to Georgia where she continued her education. She obtained numerous certifications, beginning with Medical Assistance, followed by a certification as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. She was employed for over 16 years with the Kroger Corporation. Here, she served for many years as a trainer and a valuable member of the staff. All who had the pleasure of knowing “Trina” knew her as a person who loved life, laughter and spending time with her family; especially her daughter, Jakayla, and friends and associates. Trina is, also, preceded in death by her sister Jacqueline Denise Evans, whom unfortunately she never met.
