Peggy Chapman Obituary

Peggy Ann Chapman was born April 11, 1962 in Atlanta, Georgia to Jack Turner, Sr. and Agnolia Turner. She was a strong, compassionate, caring wife and mother of two children. She was always hospitable to others, and always willing to help anyone in need. She provided a stable home to her children and grandchildren and worked hard to ensure all of them had a great life while sacrificing her own needs.

Peggy had a special gift and eye for decorating. She had a passion for making things look beautiful and collecting antiques. She enjoyed taking road trips, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was very active in helping her friends and family.

Before Peggy's departure from this life, she was transitioning emotionally and physically to receive a new kidney. She always remained positive that being on dialysis would be a thing of the past. Her only dream was to live a long life to see her grandchildren grow up. Her exact words were, “They give me a reason to live.”

Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Agnolia Turner, father Jack Turner, Sr., eldest brother; Alonzo Turner, brother Jack Turner, Jr., and her sister Marcia Woodruff.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 18 years of marriage Terry Allred, and her two daughters Shawona Chapman and Crystal Chapman. She is survived by her loving sisters Dorothy McCrimmon, and Connie Turner; brothers Edward Turner, and Gill Turner. She leaves to cherish fond memories her, two grandchildren, Kenedi and Kameron Asante and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces.
