Ruby Edwards

Ruby Mae Edwards, 66, of Mableton, Georgia, was born on August 23, 1954 to her parents, Rev. Melvin and Marion Williams. Sr. On August 17, 2020, Sister Ruby received her crown from the Lord.

 Ruby Mae (Williams) Edwards was educated in the Paulding County Public School System. She graduated from Atlanta Area Technical College with an Associate Degree in Medical Assistance. She enjoyed working in various capacities. She worked several years for Allstate Insurance Company, as a deputy sheriff for Paulding County, and her last place of employment was through the Paulding County Board of Education in Food Services, where she enjoyed the children daily, and retired at the decline of her health. 

Ruby accepted Christ in her youth and was a baptized member of Sweet Home Baptist Church, where she served on the choir and the Mother's Board. Ruby loved the Lord and daily spoke of his goodness. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Melvin Williams, Sr., her mother, Mrs. Marion Redding Williams, and her eldest son, Marlo Williams. She leaves to mourn, her son, Rev. Durante Neal, her husband, Mr. Arthur James Edwards, two sisters, Bertha M. (Robert L.) Grier, Peggy A. Tillard; two brothers, Michael Williams and Melvin Williams, Jr., a sister in law (Joann Williams), and sister and brother in laws on the Edward's side, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a hosts of nieces and nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends. She loved her family and especially loved her children, grandchildren, and great grands. She talked about them constantly and showed her pride in them whenever she was around them. She lived a life unto God and will be thoroughly missed.

The family will welcome guests for the  Visitation/Viewing on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, 280 Oak St, Hiram, GA 30141.

The Funeral services will take place the immediately afterwards on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, 280 Oak St, Hiram, GA 30141.
